Nichols Lures was the
first company to use 24K Gold Plated
Blades as well as Nickel Plated Blades
on buzz baits. Because of the two
coatings required to plate gold, it has
a lower sound when used with our Gold
Clackers vs the higher pitch of the
nickel (one coat) blade. Sometimes the
difference in sound makes for a
successful day of fishing. Both of these
nickel and gold blades with clackers
have a totally different sound vs
aluminum blades that are used on buzz
baits that are available today.
